Here are some things I made for Gracie’s pre school teachers…Sam, Natalie, Janet & Elena…we wanted to give them something special for christmas because they’ve been so important in G’s life and I’m sure in some ways they will continue to be! So I decided to make some beads with these lovely ladies in mind…then I put them in front of Gracie and asked her what she wanted me to do with them and here are the results!

They each got a keyring!

and also a bookmark each!

I hope they all love them !

Zeus Beads

I recently (tonight) had a lovely lady ask me if I do Pandora beads…I get this question all the time. Its hard to answer because I don’t do the Pandora style beads that everyone else seems to be doing, I kinda like my beads a little more chunky, a little more in your face, a little more “hey, look at me”…not that there’s anything wrong with the whole Pandora Beads phenomenon, it’s just that they are so common right now and I like to do things differently you know? Will my chunky Zeus Beads catch on and become a phenomenon of their own…well only if people want something that is more “one off wearable art” sort of stuff, rather than what is in fashion!

So there you have it, these are my Zeus Beads….yep, they’ll fit a Pandora bracelet no problems and who knows maybe one day I’ll conform and start making what everyone else is making….mmm, nup!

3 newies!

Just now, like about 2 minutes ago 3 new things went up!! Firstly we have The Lucky Dolphin, see her here, she is a beautiful bookmark with a lampwork glass bead that I made, it’s all swirly and ocean like so I thought I’d put the two together!

Secondly is Violetly Happy, see her here, now this can be either a keyring or a bag bling…both would look great…I have one on my keyring and it makes it easier to find my keys because it’s so colourful!

and last but certainly not least for tonight we have Devine…she’s a very proud bead and would make a great pendant…hopefully someone will take her home and make something beautful out of her! You can see her here.

Have a look at these! These slumped/melted bottles are so unusually awesome that they’d make the coolest christmas pressie! They can be used for all sorts of things…spoon rests, cheese plates, serve fresh fruit on them, some yummy pate, a coaster…whatever your creative mind can come up with…and the perfect way to recycle! Check out a few here on my misc page.

I have always been fascinated with Mermaids…there’s something mysterious and beautiful about them…so I decided to use them! So these are the newest things I’ve added to the site, enjoy!

Happy Beads are here…I call them Happy Beads because when they all came out of the kiln and were washed and dried and sitting there looking at me, they all looked so shiny and bright and well….happy! I have become so attached to them, but alas, it is their destiny to be turned into something wearable or “blingable” (no such word I know, pls don’t email me!)…maybe some fun bracelets? Who knows…

Yep, new stuff is coming! It takes time you know…and I have a few other things that I’m trying out, things to do with glass (what else?)…so please be patient with me…I’m going to be replacing everything that is sold so there will be all new things in time for xmas shopping – OMG christmas – yay, it’s coming – I love it! So remember me when it comes to buying something unique for that unique someone – too cheesey? LOL

Inconsiderate rude talentless

Ok, I just have to vent about the Kanye West thingo…it made me sick! Poor Taylor Swift, I mean WTF was he thinking…it was nasty, vindictive and most of all rude…I think thats what makes me so mad, the fact that it was so rude…did he honestly think he was doing something good? Bloody moron! Career suicide is what it is. And just as an aside I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kanye West smile, like really really smile…I mean don’t get me wrong I obviously don’t hang out at the same places as him or have him on speed dial but he never looks happy…anyhoo, that is my rant, I don’t like rudeness and I can only imagine how that poor girl felt in front of millions of people…hopefully those millions will see KW for what he really is, a talentless pest!

Sorry if I raved on….but it was annoying me….but I feel better now!

Rant

What a weird couple of weeks it has been….first I get a call from Gracie’s school on the Tuesday that she is sick, so I go pick her up…she continues to be sick until Thursday – I get sick Thursday arfternoon and all day Friday, I am fine Saturday and sick again on Sunday – BLOODY HELL – then Monday Gracie and I are fine but my hubby is now sick….sheesh….so a full week of sickness!! Needless to say that I got nothing done, well nothing creative anyways, no glassin’, no beadin’ – nuthin’ and it drove me mad…I couldn’t wait to get back into my studio and light that damn torch and make something, anything…didn’t care how ugly it was gonna be or how fantastic it just might turn out to be – i just wanted some sort of creative outlet! Phew, there is my rant for the week, feel much better now!
